Loved and respected locally in the UK and with a reputation of a kind cosmopolite and wanderer through beauty and energy, Norman ( http://www.yogawithnorman.co.uk/) began his practice way back in the 90’s. Yes, you still had to scream at people to get of the phone to use the Internet back then.
A decade later, in 2001, the student became a teacher finding his true calling in Ashtanga, Yin and mindfulness meditation, while rising to Yoga Alliance 500 hour accreditation through dedicated training periods with teachers such as Alaric Newcombe, Judith Lasater, Richard Freeman and Sarah Powers.
This author of a beautiful insightful book on yin and yoga ‘Brightening Our Inner Skies’, believes yoga is a an unbound practice, a way for all to experience profound and lasting changes, awakening the mind and body and unlocking the flow of energies within which connect us all to each other and all around us. To Norman yoga is opening, a release off all things stifled in the body improving flexibility, physical strength and stamina, as well as transforming the inner capabilities such as focus and awareness.
Teaching Yin since 2003, by sheer love for the practice and the rivers of students flowing towards him, Norman designed the 5 and 8-day Yin Yoga TTs as well as special Meridian training for groups up to 12 where you’ll learn how emotions and the physical issues are connected to each meridian and its associated organ, and the influence and benefits each pose brings. On most weeks you can find him at The Shala London and Life Centre in Islington and Notting Hill.
A most amazing teacher, mentor and human being we’re proud to call our partner and a friend. Thank you Norman for believing in an idea from the beginning!
