It’s gonna be… wait for it, wait for it, wait for it… crap. If you’ve not been kissed by muses right point black smack in the middle of the forehead first draft is going to suck big time… and that’s amazing. It’s amazing because now you have it, it is here and it wasn’t before. Something came to life and was drawn into the physical world from the undefined space of infinite creativity, from where no one could have ever extracted it in exactly the same way as you did.
The final thing you want to say is nowhere near ready to be shared because it is just a free flow of thoughts, associations and concepts. Whatever it is you have written or created, you know you’re a better communicator than that and you’re aware you’re a little weird and peculiar unedited so you can’t let things out in this gibberish format yet. But you’ve made something, moved from inert stagnancy to an active flow. If we all sat around twirling our thumbs doing checklists to find the perfect conditions nothing would ever get done. You don’t need perfect. Just start where you are with what you have and know now and tweak the imperfections as you go along. The process will lead you where you need to go and help you find what wants to be found. Entropy seems daunting only until you start putting together a structure. Chaos breeds order, it contains all the elements for it and is just waiting for a consciousness to manifest itself through, and guess what… you’re it in this grand game of cosmic tag.
We don’t know what it is you feel needs to be shared, if you want to write it, sing it, play it, paint it or dance it into being, you may be a numbers whiz, take an engineer or an artist approach, you may need help or can do it alone, just stop procrastinating and make the damn first draft so you have a backbone to your idea and a leg to stand on when the chasm of chaos starts mocking you again, and it will. Process of creating first drafts is a divine open realm where you are free to explore, nothing is set in stone and you’re free to listen, By putting the draft in order you put yourself in order and gain clarity regarding the next step and clarity is one of the most valuable mental assets you’ll ever have. Three times hooray for 1st drafts.
